All appointments are telephone triaged initially and are by appointment only
Appointments may be made online (if available) or by telephone. Please make one appointment for each member of the family who needs to be seen. We try to keep to time but please be patient if someone before you takes longer than planned.
Appointments are normally ten minute slots and so if you have a complicated problem, or more than one problem, please ask for a longer appointment.
It is Practice policy to allow patients to choose whichever doctor they wish to attend in the Practice (if applicable).
Please help us
On average 53 appointments are wasted each month totalling approximately 13 hrs because patients do not turn up. If you have been unable to get an appointment it may be that it was taken by somebody who then failed to attend! If you have made an appointment and no longer need it, please help us and other patients by letting us know, as it can then be given to someone else. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list, if you are more than 15 minutes late you will need to re-book another appointment.

Urgent appointments
If you feel that your problem is urgent we can fit you in to see a doctor on the same day. The receptionist may put you in touch with one of the doctors so that your condition can be assessed or book you with an Advanced Nurse Practitioner who may be available.
Emergency Appointments
Emergency appointments are available on request. Please ring the surgery for advice on emergency consultations.
Telephone Advice
It is also possible to speak to the GP or the Practice Nurse for telephone advice, if they are available to accept your call.
Interpreting Services
At our Practice some of our staff speak additional languages to English. The Practice has access to DA Languages, which is a telephone service that aids us in the interpretation of different languages. We are able to book the services of an interpreter to help during consultations – this service needs to be booked in advance. We can also arrange a BSL (British Sign Language) interpreter. Please indicate to a receptionist if you need assistance.
